Book Review - Creepy Crawly Calypso

Creepy Crawly Calypso
Written by Tony Langham
Illustrated by Debbie Harter

From The Book

"If you like good music,
if you want a treat,
just hear these creepy crawlies
play their cool calypso beat!"

About The Book

Creepy Crawly Calypso will get your preschooler dancing to a calypso beat. The book comes with a great CD to accompany you while you read. Count from one to ten with these jamming creepy crawlies as they play calypso music. Spiders play steel drums and army ants play flutes. The bright colored creepy crawly calypso playing bugs are sure to delight your preschooler.

There is also a learning section at the end of the book. Filled with information on calypso instruments and the fun bugs that filled the pages. The CD has a selection that goes over the facts of calypso music too.

From The Reviewer

I had read through the book first before listening to the CD and loved the colorful pictures. The simple rhyming was catching for my son. As were the bugs. My son and I had fun counting the bugs to "make sure they are all there". Then when we added the CD it became a calypso dancing contest. After listening to the book being sung through a few times my son began to know the words and was excited to be reading the book with the song.

A definite four thumbs up from my son and I, for this fun, colorful calypso treat!
