Pirate Map Birthday Cake

Preschool pirates will have no problem finding their way to cake with this pirate map birthday cake. A tasty treat for any little pirate. This is also an easy cake to take with you, for an away party.

Materials You Will Need

Cake mix and ingredients to make it
9X13 cake pan greased and floured
Tub of frosting
Graham crackers crushed
Toy Trees, Candy Rocks, M&M's and other things to add to your map.

How To Make It

Step 1:
Mix cake according to package. Bake in your 9X13 pan. Let cake cook completely in pan.

Step 2:
Leaving cake in pan,  spread the frosting over the whole cake.

Step 3:
Sprinkle the crushed graham crackers over the whole cake.

Step 4:
Decorate the cake with the trees and rocks and other things you may have. Make your "step" marks with Mini M&Ms. Don't forget the X. Black licorice makes a good X.

Helpful Tips For Parents

This is a great cake to take to parks. You can find the toy trees in play dinosaur sets, legos, thomas toys. You may already have some. If not you could always use parsley or some other herb. Be creative. Your preschool pirate will love it.
