Materials You Will Need

Empty Shoe Box with lid for Every Child
Brown Spray Paint
Stickers, Glitter Glue, Ribbon, Paint(Depending on how messy you want to get)

How To Make It

Step 1:
Prior to party take shoe boxes outside or into a well ventilated area and spray the outsides of the box and lid with brown paint. Let dry.

Step 2:
For the party. Have each child decorate their Treasure Chest with stickers and other decorations.

Step 3:
Get ready for the Treasure Hunt (see Treasure Hunt )

Helpful Tips For Parents

If you are using glue and paint your treasure chests may need time to dry before going on a treasure hunt. That would be a good time to do cake and ice cream or open gifts. Giving them plenty of time to dry.
