Treasure Map Invitation

What is the best way to find a preschool pirate party? With a treasure map of course. This fun, colorful map will lead preschoolers right to the fun. Best of all your little preschooler can help with this one every step of the way.

Materials You Will Need

Copy Paper
Crayons and/or Markers
Ribbon or twine cut in 12" strips

How To Make Them

Step 1:
With your preschooler draw four "places" on your copy paper and a big red X, spaced out and not grouped together. These could be simple as a tree, hills, or a cave. The fun is in getting creative.

Step 2:
Next connect the places with a dashed line. This would be great for your preschooler to work on fine motor skills.

Step 3:
Under the first place on the map write "It's a Pirate Party". Under the second, put the date of your party. Under the third the place write the time. Under the fourth place write the location of your party. And around the X write your preschoolers name and how old they are going to be.

Step 6:
Roll the map into a tube shape. And tie it off with the ribbon or twine. They are ready for delivery.

Helpful Tip For Parents

It is always fun to hand these out by hand. If you have to mail them, folding them works well too. On the envelope write something like "For pirate eyes only." Maybe even throw some sand in there too.
