Penguin Cake

Every penguin party needs a penguin cake. Really easy to make. It will have your little preschool penguins waddling around for more.

Materials You Will Need

1box of cake mix (and ingredients to make it)
6" round pan
8" round pan
tub of Chocolate Frosting
tub of White Frosting
1 Orange Slice Candy
2 White Necco Wafer Candy
2 Brown M&Ms

How To Make It

Step 1: Make the cake mix according to directions on box.

Step 2: Pour mix into well greased and floured cake pans. Bake according to directions on box. Let cool.

Step 3: When cooled, frost the 6" cake with chocolate frosting. Put the Orange Slice Candy in the center, pointing up and down, this is the nose. Put a dab of frosting on the M&Ms and place in the center of the white Necco Wafer. Place the wafers above the nose, as the eyes. This is the head.

Step 4: To frost the 8" cake, mark a 6" circle in the center of the cake. Frost the inside of the circle white, and the outside with the chocolate frosting.This is the body.

Step 5: Place the 8" cake next to the 6" cake, at chin of the head. And there you have your penguin.

Helpful Tip For Parents

If you would like to add feet. Also bake ONE cupcake, without paper liner(in greased and floured cup). When cooled, cut in half. Frost with orange colored frosting. Place next to bottom of body, curved sides touching.
