Build a Tree

So, you have sent out your "Leaf a Replies". Soon you will be getting leaves back. You will need somewhere to post them. Why not a tree? This is an easy to make tree, you can attatch to any wall, door, refrigerator. The fun will be attatching the leaves as they arrive and watching your Family Tree grow. Don't have room for a tree, make a bush somewhere. This is so easy to do, you could do it in any size that fits your family, or space.

Materials You Will Need

Brown Paper Shopping Bags
Scissors
Tape

How To Make It

Step 1: Open the shopping bag at the seams, so you have one flat piece of paper.

Step 2: Cut the bag in half from short side to short side. Making two long pieces.

Step 3: Tape one to the wall, door or refrigerator, starting at the floor/bottom.

Step 4: You can add the second piece on top if you like a taller tree.

Step 5: Add your replies from your Leaf A Reply send outs to the top of the stump. Starting to make a fuller tree. Don't forget to add you own family too.

Helpful Tips For Parents

You can add cut out leaves in fall colors for fall or green for summer. Just so your tree doesn't look so bare. My family added leaves for those who had passed on, and for the family pets. This is just a basic tree, you can spruce it up if you choose. You could also use a real tree branch and attatch the leaves to the branch. I have seen it done on an indoor ficus tree also.
