If you haven't got the time or your preschooler doesn't have the patience to wait for traditional postal mail, this is a great way to get your Family Tree Celebration under way. Sending out a simple email telling about your Family Tree Celebration is the quickest way to reach your family and invite them to participate.

Materials You Will Need

A computer
A printer
A notebook

How To Do It

Write a simple email to all your family explaining that your family is having a Family Tree Celebration. Ask them to reply with a story they would like to share; their name; their birthdate; and the city, state and country they were born in(remember to ask for one from everyone in the family).  When they reply print out their story, put it in the notebook, with the date written on it. Then if you continue to have a Family Tree Celebrations you can add to it and watch it grow. You can read the stories to your preschooler, and share your own stories about that person with them.

Helpful Tip For Parents

When sharing stories, you do not want to do it for to long (15 mins tops). Then come back to it every so often. You don't want your preschooler to get bored with it. You want them to enjoy it. Maybe you could have them sit with you as you print them out. So they can have something to look forward to. This could also be paired with the Leaf a Reply invitations also.
