This is not your typical invitation. This is more a request. This is a great way for your whole family to participate in your Family Tree Celebration. Whether they live right down the street or in another country. Your preschooler will love checking the mail box for the replies.
Materials You Will Need
Copy Paper
Envelopes (2 per address)
Stamps (2 per address)
Pen
How To Make It
Step 1: Print out the Leaf Template. One for each member of the family.
Step 2: Put one copy for each member of the family at the address you are sending it to in an envelope.(example: If you are sending it to Aunt June, include one for Uncle Ben and Cousin Annie too)
Step 3: Put your name on an envelope. Adhere the return postage stamp to it. Fold it in half and put it in the envelope.
Step 4: Address the envelope, apply postage, and send.
Step 5: Check your mail.
Helpful Tip For Parents
You may want to include a letter to your family, and let them know why you are sending them leaves. This is a great way to teach your preschooler about mail. Like how to address an envelope, where the stamp goes and patience in waiting for a reply.
Another thing you could do is get a globe or map. Everytime you send or get a letter, place a sticker on the place it came from. Teaching your preschooler a little bit about geography.
