Once Upon A Pillow Party Invitations

These great invitations will let your preschool guests that you are ready for a sleep over. Your guests are sure to love them.

Materials You Will need

Fabric cut into 8" X 5 1/2"
Iron
Sewing Machine/thread
Pinking Sheers
3" X 5" index cards

How To Make It

Step 1:
Fold the fabric in half, right sides together so it is 4" X 5 1/2".

Step 2:
With the sewing machine sew a 1/2" seam down the long side and one of the short sides, making a pocket of sorts.

Step 3:
Turn the "pillowcase" right side out, and iron the seams and fold flat.

Step 4:
Write your mid-day slumber party information on the index card, and insert it into the freshly pressed pillowcase.

Helpful Tips For Parents

You could also make the pillowcase from paper, by cuting the paper out just like the fabric, then folding and gluing the seams. You could write the child's name on the pillowcase also. There are endless possiblities with this invitation. Add sequins, buttons, glitter or lace, it just takes some creativity.
