Materials You Will Need

8" Single Layer Round Cake
6" Single Layer Round Cake
5 Ice Cream Cones
Frosting
Candies

How To Make It

Step 1:
Frost the 8" cake on sides and top.

Step 2:
Place the 6" cake in the center of the 8" cake and frost.

Step 3:
Place four of the ice cream cones on the 8" cake outside of the 6" cake, making turets for your castle. Place the last ice cream cone in the center of the 6" cake.

Step 4:
Dip your candies into the frosting and place on the cones, or place along the cake. Think of it as making a gingerbread house. The frosting is the glue holding the candies to the cones.

Helpful Tips For Parents

This is simple to make, but you could make it as fancy as you like. Just like gingerbread houses can be simple or extravogant, so can your castle cake. I found that using cake cones looks more like turets. Though if you put a sugar cone on the cake cone it looks like a pointed turet.
